Monkey Beach Retreat is tucked away on the Caribbean Sea and surrounded by an untouched jungle. The property sits on an acre of land with over 300ft of oceanfront. Steps away from your room are warm clear waters to snorkel, kayak, paddle board, and fish, which is all included in your stay. The private location of Monkey Beach Retreat is remote enough to feel as if you are on your own private island. You can look forward to waking up to the sound of waves and the sun rising over the ocean. A perfect snorkel spot is 50ft from your room or you can take the kayak approximately 300 yards to the river and view the monkeys in the trees.
The resort has 8 rooms (4 oceanfront & 4 jungle view) and can accommodate up to 16 guests.
You can arrive by boat or car, but we do recommend the boat transportation.
Off the property you can participate in excursions such as the Mayan ruins, zip lining, barrier reef, cave tubing, cliff diving, jungle hiking, and so much more.

Our staff received training on cleaning and sanitizing procedures that provides a strict enhanced cleaning and sanitation schedule.

Travel Arrangements
*Getting to Belize*
There are numerous airlines that have daily flights into the Phillip Goldson International Airport BZE which include American, Delta, Southwest, United, and AeroMexico. Try to pick a flight that lands prior to 3:30 p.m.
After arriving at the International Airport you have few transportation options to the resort:
1. A short 30 min flight on Tropic Air or Mayan Island Air. to the Placencia Airport. The last flight for the day on both airlines is 5 p.m. A boat will pick you up from Placencia and take you to the resort (40min boat ride $100US) (We recommend this option)
2. A shuttle van can be arranged to drive your group to the town of Placencia (price varies) the drive is approx. 3 hours
3. Rent a car at the airport and drive to the resort.
